Bursary Donation Update
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Donations to the RNF Founders' Award Bursary have reached
more than $13,000.00. Our goal for donations towards this
bursary is $30,000.00. The RNF will match the donations to
$30,000.00. This will result in a total capital bursary
amount of $60,000.00 once our goal is reached.

The RNFBC has a new logo. Our new logo was approved by the
RNF Board at the last RNF Board Meeting. It will be used
in all our communications including our website,
newsletters and letterheads.

the 2007 year.

RNF Seeking New Logo
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
The Registered Nurses Foundation of B.C. wants to update
its logo that is used on the RNF letterhead, envelopes,
newsletters, promotional material and website.
The RNF would like your input and has decided to have a
RNF Logo Design Contest. Starting October 15, 2007
and ending February 15, 2008 the RNF is accepting designs
from RNF members and non-members (open to all).

|
Rules:
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
1. The logo submitted must contain the letters RNFBC and
if possible reflect the RNF Mission (RNF
Mission Statement).
|
|
|
|
2. The logo must have a maximum 3 colours (one, or two, or
three colours) and must be able to be photocopied.
|
|
|
|
3. The logo entered must be emailed (attach picture file
of logo and contact info) to info@rnfbc.ca
Note: Attached picture file can be a bitmap or jpeg
file.
|
|
|
|
4. The winning designer of the new RNF logo must sign a
release to the Registered Nurses Foundation of B.C. giving
the RNF full and exclusive right to use the logo with no
future payments involved.
|
|
|
|
5. The RNF Board will select the winning RNF Logo design
by March 10, 2008 (if one design is acceptable).
|
|
|
|
6. The deadline for submissions is February 15, 2008.
|
|
|
|
7. Designs entered will not be returned and only the
winning designer will be contacted.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Prizes for winning design:
Ipod Nano (donated), $250.00 and recognition in
newsletter and website!
|
|
|
|
|
|

The RNF held their 2007 AGM on May 9, 2007. Kris Gustavson
completed her term as RNF President and Frankie Elder commenced her term
as the
new RNF President.
|

Four members have completed their terms on the RNF Board. The RNF Board
elected four new RNF Board members.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
The RNF Board thanks the members who have completed their
terms on the RNF Board and welcomes the new RNF Board members.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|

| There have been a number of
requests for the RNF to provide visual samples of our

Recent Events
|

|
|
|
|
|
The 2006 RNF AGM was held Monday April 24, 2006 at the
Hyatt Regency Hotel in Vancouver. The AGM was well
attended and several new Board Members were elected to the
RNF Board of Directors (Please see RNF
Board Page). The RNF Board also held a silent auction
and other fundraising events on the Monday and Tuesday and
raised funds for the RNF ongoing operations.

|
|
|
The RNF awarded $93,000.00 in Bursaries for the 2005
year. Eighty-nine (89) Nurses and Nursing Students
received bursaries. This was a record amount of
Bursaries given out in one year. The RNF hopes to better
that amount for the 2006 Bursary year! See

|
|
|
Members of the RNF Board attended the CRNBC Nursing
Leaders Conference recently held on Dec 2 and 3 at the Delta Vancouver Airport
Hotel in Richmond, B.C. A RNF information booth was displayed
and featured a demonstration of the new RNF Website,
provided information about the RNF's function and goals,
offered the sale of popular RNF socks, and featured a
successful 50/50 raffle sale.

Eight members of the RNF Board participated in a half-day
RNF planning/strategy session October 22, 2005 facilitated by
Juhree Zimmerman. RNF Board member Suzanne Bell generously
allowed the RNF to use her home for this event and the
Board thanks her for this. With the expert coaching skills
of Juhree Zimmerman, the half day session produced renewed
enthusiasm, new ideas, several key strategies and
increased Board member communication.
