Accredited certificate studies that advance professional nursing practice and are NOT employer funded.
Eligible categories include:
- Informatics
- Wound Ostomy Continence
- Foot Care
- Health Care Leadership
- Education
- Speciality area of nursing practice offered through CNA or approved by BCCNM
Ineligible categories include:
- Micro-credential courses
- Pre-requisite, preparatory studies (e.g., upgrade/ re-entry to practice courses/ IEN)
- Certification exam fees
- Employer-funded programs
- Certification programs for roles outside of nursing (e.g., doula, naturopath)

Bursary applicants will select from 3 cost options, and be requested to upload a receipt:
Certificates $1501 and up will be eligible for a $1500 bursary
Certificates $1001 – $1500 will be eligible for a $1000 bursary
Certificates $501-$1000 will be eligible for a $500 bursary
Certificates under $500 are not eligible for a bursary.
