2025 Bursary Impact Recap
In 2025, the Registered Nurses Foundation of British Columbia (RNFBC) proudly invested $1,021,000 in bursary support, helping nurses across the province pursue education, training, and professional growth.
Through this investment, 677 bursaries were awarded to nurses at different stages of their careers. In 2025, RNFBC increased the standard bursary value from $1,000 to $1,500, with bursaries awarded at higher levels to better reflect the true cost of education today.
Nurses continue to face growing demands, workforce shortages, and increasing complexity in patient care. Many pursue additional education on their own time and at their own expense to meet these challenges head-on. RNFBC bursaries help ease the financial burden, allowing nurses to focus on advancing their skills and bringing that knowledge back to their patients, teams, and communities.
